High School Mentor

You are our next generation of mentors and facilitators! You will work along side and learn from the University Student Volunteers. In your role you will have the opportunity to introduce kids to the dream of a post-secondary education while exploring and growing as an individual.

• Jr. Mentor is like a big brother or sister, you will be with the same group of Grade 5 and 6 kids each week guiding, supporting, and participating alongside them.

• Jr. Facilitator is someone who wants to assist university students in teaching the same subject area to a different group of Grade 5 and 6 kids each week.

Please note that if you are chosen to be a mentor or facilitator, there will be a mandatory orientation on Tuesday, October 15 OR Wednesday, October 16 from 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm.

Program Dates and Times (you will select one night per week and it must be the same night each week.)

Tuesday volunteer dates at U of M Fort Garry Campus (4:00 pm - 7:30 pm or as soon as you can get to campus after school):
